Foodie Friday – Basic Bechemel Sauce Recipe

When first trying fish, Zach found it a bit dry.

I wrote to the company producing his milk (free from cow’s milk protein) and they kindly sent me some recipes. One of which was for a bechemel sauce!


1tbsp dairy free butter

2tbsp cornflour

60ml baby’s milk formula (if you’re using this for someone who is not a baby, try using oat milk.)





  1. Heat baby formula (or oat milk if using) in the saucepan and dairy free butter.
  2. Whisk in the cornflour, until you get a thick mix.
  3. Once everything is well mixed, take off the heat and leave to cool.

Add herbs and spices to get the mouth watering.
